The Lex-Ham Community Theater is partnering with multiple groups and individuals to collect some of the many stories related to the surge of ICE activities that hit the Twin Cities starting at the end of 2025.
The purpose of the Witness project is to bear witness to the experience so that the stories of countless people in the Twin Cities impacted by the ICE surge will be preserved and shared with the entire world.
Some of the stories will be packaged into a piece that can be performed so that audiences will get a sense of the events, actions, and emotions that had a major impact on the lives of almost everyone living in the Twin Cities.
Lex-Ham Community Theater will reach out to individuals and organizations assisting others to tell their stories. A few of the people impacted included those most at risk of being seized by ICE agents, neighbors assisting neighbors who were living in fear, teachers working with half-empty classrooms, legal observers who were confronted by ICE agents, protestors showing their anger at what what happening on the streets of their city, and many more.
If you have a story to share - either written or as an audio file that you can upload - see the story submission page.
